Fixed prices for sourcing, factory checks, inspections, Taobao and 1688 buying, interpreting and web work. Every project still gets one written all-in quote before you pay, with my fee on its own line.

How these prices compare
Typical 2026 rates published by other agents and inspection companies, for reference:
- Sourcing agent commission: usually 5–10% of the order value, often 8–15% on small first orders.
- Pre-shipment inspection: about US$250–310 per man-day at the large independent firms, more at SGS, BV and TÜV.
- On-site factory audit: about US$200–500 for a basic one-day verification.
- Private English interpreter in Xiamen: about US$100–260 per day.
- Canton Fair English interpreter: about US$120–300 per day.
I price a little below these because I work alone, without a sales team or office overhead, and because the person who checks your factory is the same person you message on WhatsApp.
What is and isn't included
- Goods and shipping are charged at cost and shown separately on the quote.
- Travel outside Fujian (high-speed rail and hotel) is charged at cost and agreed before I go.
- Work on Chinese public holidays costs 50% more. Most factories close for about two weeks around Chinese New Year.
- Lab tests and certificates (for example food-contact or textile tests) are arranged with accredited labs and charged at their price.
How to pay
Wise, bank transfer, Alipay or WeChat Pay, in US dollars or Chinese yuan. The quote says what is due when, so you only pay for each step once it is agreed.
A worked example
You want 2,000 custom ceramic mugs from Dehua at US$2.00 each, so US$4,000 of goods.
- Supplier search and shortlist: US$249, paid up front.
- Order management at 7%: US$280. The US$249 already paid is deducted, so US$31 is left to pay.
- Pre-shipment inspection, one man-day: US$229.
My total is US$509, about 12.7% of the goods value, for finding the factory, managing the order and checking the goods before they leave China. Goods and freight are on top, at cost.
Questions People Ask
How much does a China sourcing agent cost?
Most China sourcing agents charge 5–10% of the order value, and more on small first orders. I charge 7% for order management (5% above US$10,000, minimum US$150), US$249 for a supplier search and shortlist, US$199 for an on-site factory check and US$229 per man-day for a pre-shipment inspection.
Are goods and shipping included in your prices?
No. The product and the freight are charged at cost and listed separately on your all-in quote, so you can see exactly what goes to the factory, what goes to the forwarder and what my fee is.
Do prices change outside Fujian?
My fee stays the same. For factories outside Fujian I add high-speed rail and hotel at cost, and I agree that amount with you before I travel.
Is there a minimum order?
There is no minimum order. Taobao and 1688 buying has a minimum fee of US$10 per order, and order management has a minimum fee of US$150.
How do I pay?
You can pay by Wise, bank transfer, Alipay or WeChat Pay, in US dollars or Chinese yuan. From abroad, Wise is usually the cheapest and fastest; Alipay and WeChat Pay are handy if you already use them.
