What I help with
- Arrival: pickup at Xiamen Gaoqi Airport or Xiamen North railway station, and hotel check-in.
- Phone and payments: Alipay and WeChat Pay with your own card, a SIM or eSIM, and DiDi for taxis.
- Getting around China: high-speed rail tickets, hotels and an itinerary that works.
- Business: interpreting at meetings, factory visits in Quanzhou, Jinjiang, Dehua and Anxi, and trade fairs such as the Xiamen Stone Fair (March) and CIFIT (September).

Before you come
Many nationalities can now visit China visa-free for a short stay, and Xiamen is one of the ports for 240-hour visa-free transit for eligible passports travelling on to a third country. Rules change often, so check with the Chinese embassy or the National Immigration Administration before you book.
- Install Alipay before you fly and link your card; I can finish the setup with you on day one.
- Google, WhatsApp and Gmail need roaming data or a VPN in mainland China. A roaming eSIM from home is the easiest option.
- Carry your passport: hotels, trains, ferries and many attractions check it.

How much does an English guide in Xiamen cost?
Private English guides and interpreters in Xiamen usually charge about US$100–260 per day. I charge US$139 for an 8-hour day, US$79 for a half day and US$39 for an airport pickup. Transport, tickets and meals are extra.
Can you help me set up Alipay and a SIM card?
Yes. I help you link your own card to Alipay or WeChat Pay, get a local SIM or eSIM working, and install the apps you need for taxis, trains and food delivery.
Can you come with me to factories near Xiamen?
Yes. Quanzhou, Jinjiang, Nan'an and Anxi are one to two hours away, and Dehua about two hours. I interpret at the factory and help you check what you see.
Do you do multi-day trips?
Yes. I can travel with you across Fujian or to Guangdong by high-speed rail at the same day rate, plus my train and hotel at cost.
